About Course

This course is composed of three lectures realised by the SPICE project for the CAPITAL e-learning platform on the topic: public procurement of innovation in transport. It provides insights, tips and recommendations for public procurements of innovation, including the specific topic of Common Buyers Group and common procurements.

It familiarises students with the key legal and policy framework elements that are relevant for procurement of innovation in transport.

It provides in-depth analysis and recommendations for the aspects related to legal and technical expertise of procurement, in particular when procuring solutions involving electric vehicles, ITS and mobility services.

It underlines the benefits as well as the barriers in creating Common Buyers Groups and common procurements.

It outlines the main challenges and recommendations faced by public procurers when procuring innovative transport solutions.

Public procurement of innovation in transport is a topic study designed for public procurers, being on the legal expertise side or the technical one, decision-makers and high-level profiles.
